The Declaration of Arbroath - Commemoration Video at Arbroath Abbey

Some members of the Society were lucky enough to play at Arbroath Abbey in the glorious autumn sunshine to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath.  Although lockdown prevented this happening on the actual date, the event couldn’t pass unmarked and we’re very grateful to Historic Environment Scotland for allowing access to the stunning venue.  The tune of the same name was written by Pete Stewart and members were given the opportunity to learn it during our first online session on 12th October – well done to those who joined!  The event was filmed and we will present the short video during the Collogue.
